Overview The AvMed Orange Bowl Golf Tournament is the Orange Bowl Committee's fall charity outing at Miami Lakes, an 18-hole shotgun start with two foursomes on every hole, and its proceeds fund Drive for Excellence, the committee's girls golf program for young women in South Florida. AutoNation presents it, and the committee also bills it as the AvMed Orange Bowl Golf Classic. The first edition was played in October 2025. The Orange Bowl Committee is a nonprofit created in 1935 to bring visitors to South Florida through the bowl game, the second-oldest in the country; its 410-plus volunteer members and staff of 30 put on more than 50 events a year. On site In 2025 registration opened at 6:30 a.m., the shotgun went at 8 and the post-round reception and awards started at noon; the 2026 shotgun was set for 9 a.m. Contests and games run on the holes during the round, closest to the pin and long drive among them, with food and course activations along the way. The day closes with a catered lunch, a raffle, prizes for the top teams and recognition for players who go further for the cause. Entry is sold only as corporate foursome packages, so every group on the course is a company's own four. Track record Orange Bowl and its partners have committed more than $50 million to South Florida community programs over two decades. The committee's spring tournament at Trump National Doral fields more than 380 golfers across three courses, the Blue Monster among them, and 50/50 raffle tickets sold at the fall tournament also go to Orange Bowl Cares. Brand presence AvMed is the title name and AutoNation the presenting partner. Associate partners get exhibit space on the course, product sampling, event signage, a named contest or the golf carts, a place in the committee's media plan and a speaking slot at the breakfast or lunch reception.
