About this listing

Overview The Cumming Country Fair and Festival is an 11-day October fair at the Cumming Fairgrounds, 40 miles north of Atlanta, built around the James H. Drew Exposition midway, which the fair calls one of the largest carnival midways in the United States, and its Georgia Mountain Lift chairlift. It is the largest event the fairgrounds holds each year, and the 2024 fair was its 30th. The City of Cumming produces it, and the fairgrounds, established in 1995, also host rodeos and a July 4th steam engine parade. On site Beyond the midway rides and games, the fair runs free grandstand shows and daily attractions, live music and local entertainment, farm animals and a Native Indian and Heritage Village, with fair food throughout. In 2025 gates opened at 4 in the afternoon Monday to Thursday and at 10 in the morning on Saturday, and ran to midnight on Friday and Saturday nights. Ride-all-day handstamps are sold for any single day of the fair. Audience The fair says its crowd comes from all over Georgia. Admission is free for children 10 and under and parking is free in the fairgrounds lots. Brand presence Sponsors get the fair's advertising package of radio, newspaper, online and social promotion and press releases. Northside Hospital Forsyth presented the 2026 fair, and the sponsor roster has included Tyson, Coca-Cola, Lou Sobh Kia, Beaver Toyota, AutomationDirect, Forsyth News and iHeartRadio stations.
