Overview The Decatur Wine Festival is a Saturday-afternoon tasting of around 350 wines from around the world in downtown Decatur, Georgia, capped at 2,500 guests, and in nearly every year presale tickets have sold out before the event. It is the main fundraiser of the Decatur Arts Alliance, the nonprofit behind the Decatur Arts Festival, public art and community classes in the city, and every dollar of proceeds goes to that work. In 2025 the Alliance presented it in partnership with Decatur Package Store. On site Each guest gets a customized tasting glass and works the pouring tables - 70 of them for 2026 - through a four-hour afternoon. Ciders and non-alcoholic wines pour alongside the wine. Food trucks sell food, a DJ plays from a stage that was new for 2026, and there are photo spots and local artists. The Wine Wall sells tokens, each one a chance to win a bottle worth up to $100. Audience The Wine Wall usually sells out within the first hour or two of the festival. The festival's following is metro Atlanta: in the Alliance's 2025 packet 28% of its Facebook followers were in Atlanta, 7.8% in Decatur and the rest across the surrounding metro. Track record The 2025 festival was the 23rd. Proceeds fund the Alliance's year-round programming: public art, exhibitions, community classes and the Decatur Arts Festival itself. Brand presence The Wine Wall sponsor runs the wall with Alliance staff and volunteers, in a tent the Alliance provides, and its name or logo goes on the sealable bags every winning bottle leaves in. Other sponsors get a reserved 10-by-10 space to hand out materials or product, with one table and two chairs supplied, plus a place on the sponsor banner, the event page and the festival's social posts. Logos need to reach the Alliance by October 1 to make the printed materials.
