Overview The Disc Golf Pro Tour is a professional disc golf circuit for men (MPO) and women (FPO), and its 2026 season ran from a February opener in Brooksville, Florida, to the Powerball Cup in Virginia in October, with a four-stop European swing through Estonia, Sweden and Finland in the middle of summer. That season carried 18 Elite Series events plus five PDGA majors, with a second tier, the Q-Series, below it. Steve Dodge and Nate Heinold founded the tour in 2016, and it is based in Fort Worth, Texas. On site Stops run three or four days, and the season ends in a three-event playoff: in 2026 the Green Mountain Championship in Jeffersonville, Vermont, the MVP Open x OTB in Leicester, Massachusetts, and the Powerball Cup at Lynchburg and Bedford County, Virginia. The calendar also takes in the Ledgestone Open in Peoria, the U.S. Women's Disc Golf Championship in Salt Lake City and the United States Disc Golf Championship in Rock Hill, South Carolina. The 2026 Big Easy Open was the tour's first event in Louisiana. At every Elite Series stop in 2026 the tour's Community Connect program ran clinics at local schools and youth groups with the nonprofit UPlay. Audience Disc Golf Network, the tour's own streaming service, carried more than twenty events live in 2026: round one is free with a basic account and the first hour of every round is free on YouTube, and JomezPro and other outlets post edited round coverage afterward. PDGA members, the sport's registered players, get some events free on DGN, and in 2026 the tour's CBS Sports Network specials carried recap coverage to a cable audience. Talent and Influencers Past MPO winners on the tour include Ricky Wysocki, Paul McBeth, Gannon Buhr and Calvin Heimburg; on the FPO side, Paige Pierce, Catrina Allen and Missy Gannon. Track record ESPN2 aired the final round of the 2020 Tour Championship on tape delay, the same year DGN began live coverage. CBS Sports Network extended its agreement for one-hour DGPT specials in February 2026. In January 2026 Powerball signed a multi-year deal covering at least 2026 and 2027, which tour CEO Jeff Spring called the largest partnership in the tour's history. Brand presence Powerball holds the top position: the tour is billed as the Disc Golf Pro Tour Presented by Powerball, with the Powerball DGPT World Standings, the Powerball DGPT Playoffs and the Powerball Cup, plus a Powerball Ace promotion at 15 events that gave five spectators per event a shot at a hole-in-one prize starting at $5,000. Below that, live ad spots and lower-third pop-ups run inside the MPO and FPO broadcasts, sold for the full U.S. season, a four-event series or the European swing, alongside the tour's social, newsletter, YouTube and blog channels.
