The 2026 edition, on November 8 from 9 a.m. to 2 p.m., was the fourth. Track record Sunset Mercantile started with its holiday market, and in 2024, on that event's 10th anniversary, Mayor London Breed declared December 7 Sunset Holiday Mercantile Day in San Francisco. The company's calendar grew to include the Sunset Night Market, Lunar New Year and Dia de los Muertos celebrations and the North Beach Festival. Eater listed the Outer Sunset market among Northern California's destination farmers markets. Brand presence Diwali sponsorship is built into the program: Sunset Mercantile offers a sponsor-led cultural activity, product sampling and introductions, and a photo booth carrying the sponsor's logo.
