About this listing
Overview FC Dallas is the Frisco-based Major League Soccer club whose academy produced Weston McKennie, Reggie Cannon, Ricardo Pepi and Chris Richards, and it plays at Toyota Stadium, the soccer-specific ground it opened in 2005 at Main Street and the Dallas North Tollway. A charter member of MLS, it began play in 1996 as the Dallas Burn and took the FC Dallas name in 2004. The stadium also houses the National Soccer Hall of Fame, opened in its south end in 2018. A redevelopment that began in 2025, budgeted at $182 million, was scheduled to finish before the 2028 season with a full canopy, new suites and what the project calls the largest LED video board in any American soccer-specific stadium. Matchday Gates open 90 minutes before kickoff, and the Hall of Fame opens with them. In 2026, with the west and north sides closed for construction, fans came in through Gates D, E and G on the east and southwest. Toyota Stadium sits on a 145-acre campus with 17 tournament-size fields, and the stadium has staged U.S. men's and women's national team matches, Concacaf Gold Cup games, a U.S. Open Cup final and Dallas Cup championship matches. Supporters organize as the Dallas Beer Guardians and El Matador. Audience MLS's media deal with Apple, which began in 2023, put every match on Apple TV, distributed in about 100 countries with no geographic restrictions, per the club's deck. Closer to home the club runs youth soccer, and its partnership deck notes that select-team families in the market typically spend $3,000 to $4,000 a year on club fees alone, before gear and travel. Talent and Influencers In 2026 the club signed academy forward Benjamin Flowers to what it called a record homegrown deal, and homegrowns Jaidyn Contreras and Josh Torquato were called up by the United States for the 2026 Concacaf U-20 Championship. Forward Bernard Kamungo earned a Tanzania call-up in 2026. Track record FC Dallas won the U.S. Open Cup in 1997 and 2016 and the Supporters' Shield in 2016. It won Copa Tejas, the in-state series with Houston and Austin, in 2026, clinching it with a scoreless draw against Austin FC. A 2018 renovation of more than $55 million added the Hall of Fame, new locker rooms and two club spaces. Brand presence Children's Health and UT Southwestern took the shirt front in 2023. Toyota bought stadium naming rights in 2013; the parking lots carry its model names, and spaces at the front of the Corolla Red lot are held for fans who drive Toyotas. The jersey sleeve is sold separately, and the club puts sleeve exposure at an average of 584 million impressions a year. A Founding Partner tier tied to the rebuilt stadium carries the tollway marquee, the east fascia and the north video board.
