Overview PumpkinFest closes Main Street in historic downtown Franklin, Tennessee, for a fall festival of more than 140 arts and crafts vendors, three stages and costume contests for pets as well as people. The Heritage Foundation of Williamson County produces it with its Downtown Franklin Association, bills it as Middle Tennessee's largest family fall festival, and for 2026, the festival's 41st year, scheduled its first two-day edition. The foundation is a nonprofit preservation group that also owns the Franklin Theatre, and it says its three street festivals - the Main Street Festival in spring, PumpkinFest in fall and Dickens of a Christmas in winter - draw more than 300,000 visitors a year and about $10 million in local economic impact. On site The festival takes over Main Street, with no street parking inside the footprint. Along it sit the Main Stage, an Acoustic Stage and the Road Show Stage, a KidZone of children's games and crafts, a beer garden, 30-plus food and drink vendors, and Autumn Alley, a full block of fall activations. The people costume contest runs at 12:30 and the pet contest at 4. The Franklin Theatre shows cartoons on its big screen, downtown shops stay open with festival specials, and a Scarecrow Crawl sends people from merchant to merchant for discounts and a chance at a movie ticket. Franklin Transit runs park-and-ride shuttles from Harlinsdale Farm and Franklin High School. Brand presence Nearly every piece of the day carries a partner's name. The 2026 festival page lists Atmos Energy as presenting sponsor, with Nissan on the Main Stage, Hope UC Nashville on the KidZone, Publix on Autumn Alley, Jackson on the costume contests and Bavarian Bierhaus running the beer garden. The listing sells three positions: a marketplace activation on the street, a signature experience and a lead visibility package.
