About this listing
Overview HITS runs hunter, jumper and dressage horse shows week after week on six showgrounds between Ocala, Florida and Del Mar, California, and in 2025 that came to 70 weeks of hunter/jumper competition and 20 of dressage. The circuits are HITS Ocala, HITS Culpeper in Virginia, HITS Chicago at Lamplight in Wayne, Illinois, HITS Hudson Valley in Saugerties, New York, the HITS Vermont Summer Festival and HITS Del Mar. Between them the venues cover the whole calendar: Ocala runs January to December and Del Mar January to August, while the other four fill the months from spring to fall. Competition climbs from national divisions up to FEI show jumping and CDI dressage. On site The 2026 schedule carried 7 weeks of FEI show jumping, 9 weeks of World Championship Hunter Rider competition, 9 USHJA International Hunter Derbies and 3 weeks of CDI dressage, plus the U.S. Dressage Festival of Champions and the USDF Region 8 Championships. The Hudson Valley series came to HITS-on-the-Hudson in Saugerties in 2005, with the Catskills behind the rings, and its 2026 weeks included a $300,000 hunter classic, a $125,000 FEI CSI3* grand prix and The League National Finals. Del Mar Horsepark is a 65-acre, state-owned facility 25 minutes north of San Diego and three miles from the Pacific. At the venues an Exhibitor Tent serves complimentary hospitality, Grand Prix Brunch included, and vendor rows sell equestrian gear alongside luxury goods. Audience HITS measures its shows in horses: 33,000 a year at its hunter/jumper competitions and another 3,000 at dressage. Its own profile of the customer is a rider who owns several horses and shows several times a year. Track record HITS produced its first horse show circuit in Gainesville, Florida in 1982 and grew into a company with venues in Florida, New York, Illinois, Vermont, Virginia and California. Traub Capital Partners bought it in 2022. Del Mar Horsepark reopened in July 2023 after a multi-million-dollar remodel, and the HITS website was rebuilt in May 2024. Brand presence Partnerships sit inside the competition. A sponsor can take naming rights to a circuit, a show, a division, a class or an award, put a custom jump in the arena, and run on public-address announcements, ring signage and the scoreboard. Class titles carry the buyer's name, as with the $75,000 Voltaire Grand Prix at Hudson Valley in 2026. National partners can run across venues or stay with one discipline, and a Community Partner Program sells class naming, product displays and exhibitor hospitality to local businesses at a single venue. Major competitions are livestreamed on hitsshows.tv, and HITS publishes its own HITS Insider guide in print and digital.
