About this listing
The 23rd Annual International Ocean Film Festival (IOFF) is one of the world’s leading events dedicated to ocean literacy, conservation, and storytelling. Taking place in San Francisco, the festival brings together filmmakers, conservation leaders, educators, scientists, students, and ocean-minded audiences for three days of screenings, panels, and community programming. Since 2004, IOFF has served as a premier platform for independent ocean films, showcasing 1,020+ films, 45 world premieres, and reaching a global audience of 302,000+. The festival inspires action and awareness, with 95 percent of attendees motivated to make lifestyle changes in support of ocean health. IOFF also runs year-round education programs, including a global online education initiative, international traveling festival, and free student film program that has reached more than 30,000 students through streaming and 8,000+ students in person. The festival weekend features award-winning films, filmmaker Q&As, expert panel discussions, the Ocean Heroes Expo Hall, and the Off the Reef Benefit Gala, honoring leading figures in ocean conservation such as Louie Psihoyos, Cristina Mittermeier, Dr. Sylvia Earle, and Philippe and Ashlan Cousteau. Brands gain premium exposure through year-round marketing, on-site visibility, social media reach, and integration into global impact programming. For organizations committed to sustainability, science, environmental impact, youth engagement, and global storytelling, IOFF offers a rare opportunity to align with a respected nonprofit platform driving real change.
