About this listing
Overview Legacy Fighting Alliance is a Houston-based mixed martial arts promotion that works as a proving ground for the UFC: its champions have repeatedly gone on to UFC contracts, many of them won on Dana White's Contender Series. It was formed in 2016 when Legacy Fighting Championship merged with the Resurrection Fighting Alliance, with Ed Soares, the MMA manager and Black House gym owner, as president. LFA 1 took place at The Bomb Factory in Dallas on January 13, 2017. Cards are numbered, and the promotion had passed 226 of them by January 2026. On site LFA is a touring promotion. Cards move from city to city through the year, into arenas, theaters, event centers and casino resorts, and by early 2026 it had gone back most often to Prior Lake, Minnesota, with 21 events, and Sioux Falls, South Dakota, with 18. Cards are shot for broadcast, and the cage canvas and corner pads carry logos in view of both the cameras and the room. RFA's first show aired on AXS TV in 2012, UFC Fight Pass took exclusive rights to LFA in 2019 and renewed them in 2021 through 2025, and in January 2026 LFA moved to Vice TV. Talent and Influencers Legacy Fighting Championship, one of the two promotions LFA grew out of, put Holly Holm, Valentina Shevchenko, Derrick Lewis, Sage Northcutt, Ray Borg and Thomas Almeida on its cards before they reached the UFC. Spectation's 2026 contract signings across its network included Jordan Oliver, a two-time NCAA wrestling champion, and former world champion Juan Archuleta. Brand presence Spectation Sports sells the partnerships. It runs a streaming network of regional MMA promotions, more than 60 live events a year, and LFA's preliminary cards are on its calendar. Inventory runs through the broadcast, where matchup graphics appear 20-plus times a card and play on the venue's big screen as well as the stream, a sponsor mark rides 25 to 35 replay transitions and a clock graphic. In the building there are PA reads before individual fights, the cage canvas and the corner pads. Every graphic carries over into the social and YouTube replays, and Spectation also runs a free-to-play prediction game and live fight stats that feed betting odds, including on BetMGM.
