Overview The Pickleball World Championships is the PPA Tour's week-long major at Brookhaven Country Club in Farmers Branch, outside Dallas, and amateurs play it too, with 4,400 amateur players from 38 countries in the 2025 brackets on the same grounds as the pros. A Major title is worth 3,000 ranking points in every pro division, enough to swing the season race in one week. The event takes its title partner's name each year: it was the Jenius Bank Pickleball World Championships in 2025 and the Opendoor Pickleball World Championships in 2026. The 2025 edition was the PPA Tour's 100th event. On site The week runs amateur and junior brackets first, then pro rounds that build to Championship Sunday. The 2025 edition stretched over two weekends and packed in the MLP Cup team final, the first Collegiate World Championships, Junior PPA play, an adaptive wheelchair event, the Battle of the Badges and Battle of the Branches for first responders and military veterans, a Celebrity Pickleball Showdown and the PPA Challenger Showdown, where the best uncontracted players compete for Tour contracts. Pickleball Boulevard is the fan and vendor strip. A grounds pass covers the outer courts all day, while Championship Court sessions are ticketed separately, with courtside bleachers, VIP seats and box suites. Audience The amateur draw puts thousands of players on the grounds alongside the fans. It runs by skill and age, amateur medals are handed out on Championship Court, and nearly every state had players in the 2025 field, which played more than 6,000 matches. Around them come collegiate teams, junior players and their families, veterans and first responders, and fans who walk Pickleball Boulevard between sessions. Talent and Influencers Anna Leigh Waters won a Triple Crown at the 2025 event for her 168th career title, which made her the winningest player in PPA Tour history. The 2025 titles went to Federico Staksrud in men's singles, Waters in women's singles, Hayden Patriquin and Staksrud in men's doubles, Waters and Anna Bright in women's doubles, and Waters and Ben Johns in mixed. Dirk Nowitzki, J.D. Martinez, Terrell Owens and the gamer Tfue played the 2025 Celebrity Pickleball Showdown with the pros. Track record The 2025 edition set PPA Tour records for attendance, amateur participation and viewing: PickleballTV counted 70 million minutes watched across the event and the official social accounts 54 million impressions. The St. Louis Shock beat the Dallas Flash for the 2025 MLP Cup, and Utah Tech University won the first Collegiate World Championships. Brand presence The biggest positions are names on the event itself: the title partner on the championship, a named Championship Court (Nature's Sunshine in 2025) and the tour's own title partner, Carvana, on court at every stop. Below them, brands take 10-by-10 or 20-by-20 vendor spaces on Pickleball Boulevard, courtside boxes and private suites for client hospitality, and pro-am spots where guests play with the pros.
