Overview Run 4 Roses is a girls' basketball tournament that lays 88 courts under one roof at the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville each July, and in 2024 it drew 2,910 teams, which it bills as a world record, and 2,037 college coaches. The week runs as three events back to back: Roses Rising Stars, the Run 4 Roses Classic and the Roses Championship. 3STEP Sports, the youth sports club and events company, calls it the largest girls' basketball event in the country and the second-largest event in Kentucky after the Derby. On site Games run court after court across the Exposition Center halls, with college staff evaluating from the sidelines. A Hot Shot shooting competition runs by graduating class, and the overall 2026 winner, Avery Noe of the class of 2031, scored 62. In 2024 the week closed with the Roses Wrap-Up Show at Freedom Hall: the Global 3 international three-point championship, a game show called Roses and Out hosted by Justina Valentine of MTV's Wild 'N Out, and a Soulja Boy concert, free to anyone holding event credentials. The official commemorative ball is a Spalding. The venue bars outside food and drink, chairs and drones. Audience Teams travel in and stay: the tournament runs a stay-to-play hotel policy, so clubs book Louisville rooms through the event for the week. The 2026 all-tournament teams were named for six graduating classes, 2027 through 2032, so the players range from middle school to rising seniors, and the stands are their parents, club coaches and the college staff recruiting them. Track record ESPNU carried the 2024 championship game live, and SportsCenter NEXT has posted full-game highlights from the Classic, including SMAC against Team Trae Young in 2024 and Team Takeover against Cy Fair in 2025. The 2027 Classic was billed as the 20th. Brand presence Partners work inside the Exposition Center across the whole week: experiential activation space, product sampling zones and venue signage, brand exposure in ESPN programming where it applies, VIP hospitality, and social content before, during and after the event.
