About this listing
Overview Salute to America in Space is the air show at the heart of MAX POWER, NASA's celebration of American air and space innovation at Kennedy Space Center. For one weekend, Air Dot Show turns the historic Shuttle Landing Facility, the runway where Space Shuttles came home, into an air show and aerospace exhibition, with guests driving through the North Gate and parking on the runway itself. On site The U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds headline an afternoon aerial program with NASA aircraft and demonstrations from several branches of the military. On the ground, NASA and military aircraft, large spaceflight hardware and industry exhibits sit along the runway, with a stage, concessions, Ramp Boxes, preferred seating and a VIP Flight Line Club. Chalet Row gives companies private hospitality chalets with box seating on the flight line, and partners can add branding, hardware and technology displays, and public activations. Audience Two audiences share the runway. An invited group of senior NASA leaders, members of Congress, senior military officials, astronauts and aerospace executives, and a public crowd of aviation and space fans, families, Space Coast residents and visitors from across Florida. It has the largest guest capacity of any MAX POWER event. Talent and Influencers The flying lineup includes the U.S. Air Force Thunderbirds, the NASA Freedom 250 Aerial Team, an F-104 Starfighter and NASA's 777, with a NASA ER-2, T-38 Talon, F-15D Eagle and F-5 Tiger on display. NASA Administrator Jared Isaacman announced MAX POWER on the runway alongside Senator Ashley Moody and Representatives Byron Donalds, Mike Haridopolos and Darren Soto. Track record Air Dot Show has produced air shows since 2002 and runs a national tour over landmark destinations from Florida to New York, including Cocoa Beach, Fort Lauderdale, Ocean City and New York, working with the military and the FAA. This is only the fourth public air show held at Kennedy Space Center, and Space Coast tourism officials expect it to be one of the largest the county has hosted. Brand presence Space Florida, which operates the Launch and Landing Facility, and the Space Coast Office of Tourism are event partners. Partnerships are built around each company's goals, from industry engagement and hardware display to consumer activation, community presence and corporate hospitality.
