About this listing
Overview The Hangar Dinner is a private, buffet-style dinner for 75 to 100 guests inside an aircraft hangar at Dallas Executive Airport. The menu runs around the world in six courses, each one a destination. It is the Friday night opener of The Hangar, a two-day music and art weekend produced by Nostalgia and Noise (N&N), a Dallas creative agency that builds events around local artists, DJs and brands. Dinner runs from seven to ten, the night before the hangar party. On site Guests work their way along the buffet from the Mediterranean (salad) to Texas (sliders), Japan (sushi), Paris (escargot and caviar), Bangkok (pad thai) and Mexico and Latin America (bone marrow tacos). A connoisseur introduces each cocktail, and the drinks travel around the room on an airplane beverage cart, airline service redone for a dinner party. Live music or a DJ plays through the meal. N&N artists make wearable art and collaborative merch on site, and designed installations, branded table settings and a photo booth fill the hangar. Audience A curated guest list of Dallas's younger creative and business crowd: artists, founders, brand owners, marketing directors, athletes, sports agents, investors and Forbes 30 Under 30 members. N&N builds its rooms to mix what its founders call the tourist and the purist, so people deep in the art scene share a table with people from finance, sports and startups. Talent and Influencers N&N was founded by painter Ra Kazadi and Rob Grass, both former SMU football players, and the wearable art and merch at its events come from artists on its studio roster. Past commissions include Brandon Harris, Sara Baumann and Minji Kang-Watrous, who painted Marshall speakers live at a Sneaker Politics event. Entertainment for the dinner is live music or a DJ; performers are not announced. Track record N&N has run more than 120 events and sold more than 130,000 tickets, with half its customers coming back. It counts more than 100 brand partnerships, over $600,000 in sales for partners and over $350,000 in earned marketing value. Past projects include an art fair launching three Four Corners Brewing beers with artist-designed labels and a gallery across an empty apartment floor at Dallas Urby that drew more than 700 people. Brand presence Jack Daniel's is a brand partner of The Hangar weekend. At the dinner a brand can put product and a giveaway at every place setting, run one activation such as collaborative merch, table placements, live engraving or the airplane cart, host the evening under its own name with category exclusivity, or take over the dinner outright with N&N producing it. Photo and video content comes with every partnership, and donated product can offset up to 60% of the investment at wholesale value.
