Overview Westchester SC is Westchester County's professional soccer club, a USL League One side at Memorial Field in Mount Vernon, and in September 2026 it scored the fastest five goals from kickoff in League One history, all inside 25 minutes against Richmond. The club was founded in May 2024, and NFL quarterback Tyrod Taylor joined the ownership group a month later. It played its first match in March 2025, a 1-1 draw away at Greenville Triumph. George Gjokaj was named head coach in November 2025. Matchday Memorial Field is a city-owned stadium on Garden Avenue in Mount Vernon, opened in 1931 and renovated in 2022, and it held 4,000 for the 2026 season. The club signed a three-year lease with an option for two more. The box office at the main entrance opens 90 minutes before kickoff. The supporters' group is The 914th Infantry, and the club sells group tickets and runs a ticket donation program alongside season plans. Talent and Influencers Juan Carlos Obregón won League One's Golden Boot in the club's first season with 17 goals, the club's single-season record. In 2026 midfielder Conor McGlynn broke the league's scoring record for a midfielder with his 14th goal, a winner in the eighth minute of stoppage time at the New York Cosmos, and by then his 18 goals in under two seasons made him the club's leading scorer. Gjokaj was named league Coach of the Week twice in 2026. Track record The first season ended 14th of 14. The second turned in September 2026: a 5-2 win over Richmond, a 2-1 win at the Cosmos that ended a 22-match run without a road win, and a 0-0 draw at defending champion One Knoxville. It was the club's second win over the Cosmos that summer, after a 3-0 in July. Brand presence The club started selling partnerships in the third quarter of 2024 and builds each one to the partner's goals; its site listed a dozen partners in 2026, from Northwell Health and Healthfirst to Duck Donuts and Ice Air. Entry partnerships start with sideline boards, scoreboard ads, concourse signs, PA reads and sampling at selected matches. Higher levels add a VIP sponsor tent, highway billboard placements, youth clinic activations, player appearances and, at the top, a place on the jersey.
