Overview The Boys Winter Invitational is a boys-only club volleyball tournament for ages 12 to 18 that takes over the Kentucky Exposition Center in Louisville each December, and by August 2026, 690 teams had registered for that year's edition. 3STEP Sports listed the 2026 edition as an Open Consideration event on the JVA pathway toward the JVA National Championship. The Academy Volleyball Club runs it. The Academy was founded in Indianapolis in 2014 and was bought by 3STEP Sports, a national youth club and event operator, in 2022. On site Play runs in waves so the hall can hold the field. Older divisions play three days and younger divisions two, and each age group is given a morning or afternoon wave. Teams play pool matches first, then bracket finals, with divisions split by level from Elite through Club and Classic. In 2025 a college showcase and a youth ID camp ran on the Thursday before the tournament, and the 2026 event site lists a Winter Showcase and a Rising Star Camp alongside it. Spectators buy entry online. Audience Teams travel in from well beyond Kentucky: 3STEP's registrations run from Massachusetts and Wisconsin to Florida, Tennessee, Michigan and Illinois. Brand presence The inventory is the hall. Partners can take court branding and venue signage, booths or activation space from 10 by 10 feet, PA announcements and placement in the emails sent to teams before the event. The top level adds a branded recovery zone or sponsored lounge and custom activations with players and families.
