Sponsorship Price Index 2026: Event Costs by Category
Anvara’s September 2026 marketplace analysis puts the median entry package at $5,500 for food and beverage events, $12,000 for music festivals and $12,500 for sports events. These are listed asking prices for each event’s cheapest package, not completed-deal prices or the full cost of running a sponsorship campaign.
The index below compares entry and top packages, explains what those prices represent, and gives brands a starting point for reviewing an event’s offer.
How much do sponsorships cost by event type?
Prices vary substantially across the events in Anvara’s analysis. Compare the package’s position within its event before comparing the amount: an entry package and an event’s largest package buy different rights.
Event category | Median entry package | Median top package | Middle half of top-package prices |
|---|---|---|---|
Food and beverage | $5,500 | $30,000 | $10,000–$75,000 |
Food and wine festivals | $15,000 | $77,500 | $28,000–$125,000 |
Wine events, any category | $7,500 | $50,000 | $19,000–$100,000 |
Music festivals | $12,000 | $50,000 | $25,000–$112,000 |
Sports | $12,500 | $85,000 | $25,000–$275,000 |
Source: Anvara marketplace data, September 2026. Figures reflect listed sponsorship package prices, not completed-deal prices. “Entry” means an event’s cheapest listed package; “top” means its most expensive. The middle-half range is the 25th to 75th percentile, not the minimum and maximum. Category labels follow the source analysis and should not be added together as separate, non-overlapping markets.
For example, the $25,000–$112,000 music-festival range describes the most expensive package at each festival in that group. It does not mean every music-festival package costs at least $25,000.
What can a $50,000 sponsorship budget cover?
A $50,000 budget can cover substantial event rights, but the level available varies by category. In Anvara’s September analysis, 66% of food and beverage events, 59% of music events and 41% of sports events had their top listed package priced at $50,000 or less.
Those figures describe the broader music category, not music festivals alone. They also describe the observed listings, not a promise that the same rights remain available today.
If $50,000 is your entire campaign budget, first deduct the cost of producing and staffing the activation, supplying products, travelling and collecting results. The amount remaining is your package budget. A $50,000 sponsorship package does not necessarily include those additional costs.
What does a presenting sponsorship cost?
Anvara’s analysis groups title, presenting and naming sponsorships together. Their listed prices span a wide range:
Category | Median title/presenting package | Middle-half range |
|---|---|---|
Food and beverage | $25,000 | $10,000–$55,000 |
Sports | $70,000 | $25,000–$200,000 |
Music | $100,000 | $30,000–$350,000 |
These packages can include event-name association, hospitality, signage and content rights. The title itself is not a complete description of the deliverables. Confirm exactly where the sponsor’s name appears, for how long, and which uses of the event’s branding are included.
This table describes a selected package group. It should not be compared directly with the top-package medians above as though both tables covered identical events and weighting.
What do different sponsorship price levels include?
Anvara’s analysis identifies social content, signage, on-site activation and hospitality as common inclusions below $10,000. At higher prices, packages may include more prominent placement, naming rights, broadcast exposure or content rights.
A longer list of benefits is not necessarily a more useful package. Ask for the dimensions and location of signage, the size and operating hours of an activation space, the number of content placements, and the audience each asset can actually reach. Two packages listing “social promotion” may deliver very different amounts of exposure.
How should brands use these benchmarks?
Use the index to frame questions, then compare the actual rights. A quote above the middle-half range is not automatically overpriced; a quote below it is not automatically good value.
Review audience fit, location, duration, included deliverables and the resources required to use them. Category exclusivity also needs a precise definition: which competing products are covered, in which spaces and channels, and during what dates? This index does not establish a universal exclusivity surcharge.
Where does the data come from?
This analysis uses sponsorship package prices listed on Anvara across food and beverage, music and sports events in September 2026. Anvara operates a sponsorship marketplace; this is a view of its analyzed inventory, not a census of the sponsorship industry.
Sample counts are not disclosed here. The data snapshot is identified by month. Figures should be read as descriptive benchmarks, not guarantees of availability, negotiated prices or campaign results. Expected attendance is distinct from verified attendance, and the analysis does not establish that location or event size independently causes a particular price.
