Overview Algonquin Fest is a three-day village festival in Spella Park in Algonquin, Illinois, a Fox River town in Chicago's northwest suburbs, with a carnival midway, a kids' area, three nights of bands and fireworks on Saturday night. The first edition ran in July 2026, and admission that year was free. Special Events Management produces it with the Village of Algonquin; SEM also runs Chicago-area races and street festivals, among them Oktoberfest Chicago and Clark Street Live. On site In 2026 the park opened from 4 to 10 p.m. on Friday, noon to 10 on Saturday and noon to 7 on Sunday. Dancing Queen: An ABBA Salute closed Friday, Maggie Speaks played Saturday evening and 7th Heaven closed Sunday, with Hello Weekend, Second Hand Soul Band, Fletcher Rockwell and Journey 2 Jovi earlier in the day. Carnival rides and games ran all day on a wristband beside a dedicated kids' area, arts and crafts vendors and tables from local community groups. Food came from local vendors including Barone's Pizza, Blackhawk BBQ, Frank's Greek Delights, Frozen Dreamz and Slice Factory. The fireworks went up at 9 on Saturday. Brand presence Partners buy in at three levels. Activation space runs up to 300 square feet, corporate banners hang across the park, and pre-recorded announcer mentions run on site. The top level adds naming rights to the festival or one of its parts and category exclusivity, and partners appear in the festival's e-blasts and on its website.
