Overview AMERICANAFEST is the Americana Music Association's five days in Nashville, seminars and panels by day and showcases at night, and in 2026 it put more than 200 artists and bands into more than 50 venues, from the Bluebird Cafe to the Schermerhorn Symphony Center. Its centerpiece is the Americana Honors and Awards at the Ryman Auditorium, where six member-voted awards and several Lifetime Achievement Awards are handed out; in 2026 those honors went to Dolly Parton, Tom Petty and the Heartbreakers and Robert Plant. The Association is a nonprofit trade organization for American roots music, and the festival is its annual fundraiser. On site Days run out of the conference hotel, the Embassy Suites by Hilton Nashville Downtown near the Ryman, the Country Music Hall of Fame and City Winery, with daily seminars and panels and an exhibit hall open to music-industry exhibitors only. At night the showcases spread across the city's clubs and halls; in 2026 the list included Brooklyn Bowl, The Basement East, Analog at the Hutton Hotel and 3rd and Lindsley. Companies can also host official special events of their own at a venue they choose, from a label happy hour to a networking barbecue at lunch, and those events go into the festival's daily schedule, app and printed program guide. The 2026 week also carried Renée Fleming and Béla Fleck with the Nashville Symphony, a Spotlight City showcase for Tulsa and a 25th-anniversary showcase for Dualtone Records. Audience The week mixes fans with the trade. In 2023 the festival counted 2,535 conference registrants, and attendees came from 12 countries. The Association puts the Honors and Awards crowd at more than 2,000 artists, fans and entertainment industry executives, and the awards program sits in every ticketed seat at the Ryman. Daytime panels run on the business itself: the 2026 conference covered AI and carried Continuing Legal Education sessions. Talent and Influencers The Americana All-Star Band backs the awards show, and by 2026 Buddy Miller had directed it for nearly 25 years; that year it included Larry Campbell, Don Was and the McCrary Sisters. Molly Tuttle was 2026 Artist of the Year, Tyler Childers took Album of the Year for Snipe Hunter and Ken Pomeroy was Emerging Act. Bernie Taupin and Brandi Carlile sat down together for the 2026 keynote conversation. In 2025 John C. Reilly hosted the awards, Emmylou Harris and John Fogerty played, and Sierra Ferrell was Artist of the Year. Allison Russell, Bonnie Raitt, Joan Baez, Noah Kahan and Rosanne Cash have all played the show. Track record The Association says Johnny Cash and June Carter Cash gave their last live performance together at the Honors and Awards. The 2026 awards were the 25th. In 2023 the week ran 500-plus hours of live music and 70-plus hours of educational events. Official special events return year after year: by the 2024 guide, 22 of them had run for two to five years and 11 for five years or more. Brand presence Sponsorship runs across digital, print and the conference hotel. Logos go on the Association's sponsor page, in the program guide and in the festival app, where the title sponsor's logo sits on the home screen and geofenced notifications reach app users near a chosen location. The Honors and Awards program takes congratulatory ads only. In the hotel, pop-up banners stand in the busiest areas, and one exclusive logo goes on the 90-plus volunteer shirts worn all week.
