Overview The Après Series is the Aspen Art Museum's free after-ski party on its own rooftop, held on select Saturday evenings through the winter with a DJ, cocktails from the museum's Slippery Slope bar and Aspen Mountain behind the decks. It is 21 and over. The 2025-26 run went from December into April. The Aspen Art Museum was founded by artists in 1979 as a non-collecting museum, and in 2014 it moved into a Shigeru Ban building on East Hyman Avenue. On site The party runs 5 to 9 p.m. on the roof, with the bar and the DJ up top and the galleries open below until 6. In 2024 the Rooftop Café put out snacks alongside the bar. Admission is free, and museum members skip the line at the door and get priority entry and coat check, and in 2025 their card took 10 percent off at the bar. Audience The listing's own data puts roughly 70 percent of guests as visitors from major metros outside the valley. Entry is free to anyone 21 and over, so museum members and first-time visitors share the same roof, and in 2025-26 two dates were set to line up with Wintersköl and Aspen Gay Ski Week, the town's own winter gatherings. Talent and Influencers GOLDEN was the billed DJ in 2024 and 2025, with Austin Gavlak as a 2024 guest. The 2025-26 winter added Illich Mujica, Chris Cauldron, Matt Suave of PlayHaus, Tommy Raffa, Le Chev, Ali Mae, Isabeau Fort, Danger Foley and Fraser Jones. Brand presence A partner takes one Saturday or the full winter and is named in the signage and communications for those dates, with the fee supporting the museum's Education and Outreach programs. The museum folds partners into its donor circle as well: access to the National Council, an invitation-only group of more than 60 collectors and philanthropists that funds exhibitions and programming, and invitations to the Winter Exhibition Opening. The Etkin Family Foundation backed the series in 2024 and 2025, and that spring the bar carried Woody Creek Distillers, Lalo, Aspen Distillers, Crooked Stave and Fraser and Thompson Whiskey.
