Overview Baja Beach Fest is a three-day reggaeton and Latin music festival held each August on the beach in Rosarito, Baja California, 45 minutes south of San Diego. La Familia Presenta produces it. Music runs from mid-afternoon to about 1am across the Baja Main Stage and the DJ-led Tower Stage, and official afterparties next door carry on each night. Entry is 18+ only. On site The grounds sit oceanfront beside Papas&Beer and Hotel Oceana del Mar. The festival bills the Baja Main Stage as one of the largest stages in North America. The Village holds a Ferris wheel, a game garden with beer pong and cornhole, a glam station, a basketball court, art installations and photo moments. The Oasis Speakeasy is a hidden themed bar inside the general admission grounds, with its own DJs. The La Playa Deck beside the stage serves all-inclusive food and drink, and Baja Beach Club, an elevated platform with bottle service, hosts more than 1,000 guests a day. Audience Most of the crowd crosses the border from the United States, and Los Angeles County buys more tickets than any other county. Nearly 65% of attendees visited a brand activation over the weekend, and in the fan survey they asked for more interactive games and more food and drink sampling. The official afterparties sell out every night. Talent and Influencers Past headliners include Bad Bunny, J Balvin, Karol G, Daddy Yankee, Maluma, Ozuna, Peso Pluma and Grupo Firme. The most recent lineup put Sean Paul, John Summit and Steve Aoki alongside Anuel AA, Nicky Jam and Ozuna. The backstage livestream studio, hosted by Willito and Lonche, has brought on Los Tucanes de Tijuana, Arcangel and creators Chris MJ and Yeri MUA. Canelo Alvarez, Becky G and Jowell y Randy have been guests at Baja Beach Club. Track record The first edition drew 15,000 fans and sold out. It now draws more than 90,000 fans across three days. The most recent edition sold out every night. Its first fully produced livestream reached 100 million views on social, with 10 million engagements and 13,000 pieces of fan content. Forbes, Billboard and Rolling Stone have covered it. Brand presence Cerveza Papas presents the Ferris wheel and the game garden. Tecate, Electrolit, Topo Chico, Bacardi and Coca-Cola, Jack Daniel's and Coca-Cola, Beatbox, Caliente, VMC, Maestros Joyeros and Chick In are current partners. AV Tequila and Dos Equis have run bars here in past years. For a brand activating in Mexico for the first time, the festival handles the import and export work, builds the activation on site with its own design and technical support, prints signage locally and opens up its existing installations and local hotel inventory.
