Overview Belmont-Sheffield Music Fest closes Sheffield Avenue from Belmont to Roscoe in Lakeview, directly under the Belmont CTA station, for a three-day street festival over Memorial Day weekend. Two stages run more than 30 bands across the weekend, most of them tribute acts and local players, with bars, food vendors and local makers along the street. The Lakeview East Chamber of Commerce puts it on with Special Events Management, a Chicago producer of street festivals and races, and the 2026 edition was the 41st. Entry is an optional donation at the gate, and part of the proceeds goes to neighborhood projects: public spaces, green areas and art installations. On site Friday runs 5 to 10 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday 11 a.m. to 10 p.m. The Main Stage and the Belmont Stage split the bill. In 2026 the Main Stage carried School of Rock, Four Star Brass Band, The Strangers, Jagged Little Pill, Trippin Billies, RAVIV's electric cellos and The Divas across 20 sets, and the Belmont Stage ran 14, including Lady Loomis, Good Country, Fiddle Rock, Nelson Street Revival, Mellencougar and DJ TZME. Vendors sell apparel, accessories, candles and pet goods between the food stands, several bars pour with ID checks, and leashed dogs are welcome. Track record School of Rock and Trippin Billies were both on the 2013 bill, alongside 7th Heaven, Liquid Soul and Journey Recaptured, and both played again in 2026. Brand presence Ten partners were on the 2026 sponsor list, among them Goose Island, Nosotros Tequila, Señorita Drinks, BeatBox, HelloFresh, NRG and Renewal by Andersen. Brands buy in at three levels, and a 10-by-10 space on the street is available at the entry level.
