Overview The City of Marietta's July 4th Celebration fills Historic Marietta Square in Cobb County for a full day, from the Let Freedom Ring Parade in the morning to fireworks after the last concert. The day is called Fourth in the Park and runs around Glover Park on the Square from 10 a.m. to 9 p.m., with free live concerts, an arts and crafts show, food, carnival games and a kids zone. The city's Parks and Recreation department produces it. On site The parade steps off on Roswell Street, heads west to the Square, turns north on East Park Square past Glover Park and runs down Cherokee Street to North Marietta Parkway. Around the park, arts and crafts booths, carnival games and a long line of food vendors run all day, and the Glover Park stage carries music from noon to the evening headliner, with the fireworks at dark. In 2024 the fireworks were shot from the First United Methodist Church lot on Whitlock Avenue. Audience It is Marietta's own parade. The 2026 lineup of more than 90 entries included Cub Scouts, Marietta City Schools, the American Legion, the League of Women Voters and the Sons of the American Revolution, with fire trucks and first responders in the procession. Talent and Influencers The 2026 stage ran Scott Thompson at noon, the Atlanta Concert Band at 2:30 and the duo Lance and Wes at 7, with the rock tribute band Departure headlining from 8 to 9:30. An earlier year closed on A1A, the Jimmy Buffett tribute show. For America's 250th anniversary the city added an Independence Eve concert on the Square on July 3, 2026, with Drivin N Cryin. Brand presence Sponsorship follows the parts of the day: a presenting sponsor for the whole celebration, a stage and concert sponsor for the Glover Park stage, and a sponsor for the children's area. Parks and Recreation coordinates the vendors, volunteers and logistics.
