Comedy Connection in East Providence, Rhode Island, and Side Splitters in Tampa put nationally touring headliners in rooms small enough to catch every expression. Comedy Connection has hosted the biggest names in comedy since 1989 in a 240-seat club, recently including Saturday Night Live's Sarah Sherman and Andrew Dismukes. Side Splitters has drawn touring headliners to Tampa for more than 30 years, with Louis C.K., Matt Rife, Jim Breuer and Shane Gillis among the comics who have played its stage. Punchup Live, which sells tickets for both clubs, brings them together for one sponsor. A comedy crowd is a paying, seated and attentive crowd. Guests buy a ticket to see a specific comedian, sit through a full set facing the stage and order drinks as part of the night, a natural fit for spirits, beer, ready-to-drink cocktails and any brand that wants adults on a night out. Many came because they follow the headliner on podcasts and social, so the night keeps traveling after the show. Both clubs book headliners every week. Recent and upcoming names at Comedy Connection include Chris Hardwick, Janeane Garofalo, Emo Philips, Nick Thune and Ryan Long. Because Punchup Live runs the ticketing, your brand sits on the ticket page and in every ticket confirmation email, then appears in the room on the club's screens and from the host just before the headliner. Larger packages add a weekly show carrying your name, a cocktail named for your brand, sampling nights and category exclusivity. Opening Act ($5,000 per club, $10,000 for both) covers one weekend at one club with screen ads, a host shout-out, ticket page and emails, two Instagram posts and four VIP tickets. Headliner ($25,000) runs 30 days at both clubs with category exclusivity, a weekly [Your Brand] Comedy Night at each club, a branded drink, a sampling night per club, owned photo and video, four Instagram posts and ten VIP tickets per club. Main Event ($75,000) extends that to 90 days with [Your Brand] presents billing, a monthly brand night per club, official partner rights, two podcast ad reads from touring headliners, 40 VIP tickets and a results report. Tour Partner (from $150,000) puts your brand on a headliner's national tour across Punchup Live's network of about 20 clubs, with presenting billing, ticket emails, sampling, comedian posts and podcast reads, subject to the comedian's sign-off.
