Overview Concert at Three Caves is the Land Trust of North Alabama's summer concert inside a former limestone quarry at the foot of Monte Sano, where three cave openings in the rock wall frame the stage and the air coming out of them holds at about 55 degrees year-round. The quarry sits two miles from downtown Huntsville. Each year an opener and a headliner play; in June 2026 The Alabama Heathens, a Southern rock band, opened for the Matt Prater Band. The Land Trust was incorporated in 1987 as the Huntsville Land Trust to stop development on Monte Sano's western slopes, and has since preserved more than 10,000 acres and built over 80 miles of public trails. On site In 2026 gates opened at 5:30 p.m. and the music started at 7:15. The floor is gravel, so closed-toe shoes are required; people bring bag chairs, and tables are not allowed. There are no pets and no children under 12. Local food trucks sell dinner, beer and wine are sold on site, and everything is cashless; outside food and coolers stay out. As the sun goes down, lights come up on the limestone walls behind the band. Track record Three Caves is where the Land Trust holds its evenings. The Moon Over Three Caves Dance, its largest fundraiser, draws more than 700 supporters for dinner, a silent auction and live music; in 2025 Quantaphonics played. A fall Movie Night runs in the quarry too. Concert proceeds go to the Land Trust's conservation work, and a canceled ticket is treated as a tax-deductible donation. Brand presence The presenting sponsor's name goes on the event, in the form "[Company] presents Concert at Three Caves", and its logo is projected onto the limestone walls for the whole evening. It also gets a stage announcement, VIP tickets with dinner and drinks, VIP parking and placement in the Land Trust's newsletters, social posts and summer print newsletter. First Horizon Bank was the presenting sponsor in 2026. A supporting sponsor's banner is lit and hung on site.
