Overview Corinthians is São Paulo's time do povo, the people's team, and its home ground in Itaquera, the Neo Química Arena, opened the 2014 World Cup with Brazil against Croatia. Datafolha's national surveys rank its support second in Brazil, behind Flamengo. Its supporters call themselves the Fiel, the Faithful. Five workers from the Bom Retiro neighborhood founded the club in 1910, and its first president, Miguel Battaglia, said it would be the team of the people and the people would make the team. Matchday The arena opened in May 2014 in the east of the city, about 500 meters from Corinthians-Itaquera station, and holds 48,234 seats. The north sector holds none: the chairs were taken out, on the model of Borussia Dortmund's ground, so organized supporters stand for the whole match behind that goal. The east side of the building carries a video screen 170 meters wide and 20 meters high, built from 210,000 LEDs. Talent and Influencers Memphis Depay joined in September 2024 and scored the goal that won the 2025 Copa do Brasil final against Vasco at the Maracanã. By 2026 he had become the Netherlands' all-time leading scorer and assist provider, and in August that year he renewed his contract through July 2028, with 79 matches and 20 goals for the club at that point. Fernando Diniz coached the team in 2026. Track record By 2026 the club had won seven Brazilian league titles, four Copas do Brasil, 31 Campeonato Paulista titles, the 2012 Copa Libertadores and two FIFA Club World Cups, in 2000 and 2012. The 2025 season brought the Paulista and the Copa do Brasil, and the 2026 Supercopa do Brasil followed, 2-0 over Flamengo in Brasília. Brand presence The stadium name is itself a sponsorship: Hypera Pharma renamed it Neo Química Arena in September 2020 on a 20-year naming deal. Nike made the kit in 2026 for a 24th consecutive season. The shirt carries partner marks front and back, and the position on this listing sits on the upper back above the number, where it shows in match broadcasts and highlights.
