About this listing
Overview The Daytona Turkey Run bills itself as the largest combined car show and swap meet in the United States. Twice a year, over Thanksgiving weekend and again in late March, it fills the infield of Daytona International Speedway with thousands of collector cars, a huge parts marketplace and a car corral where buyers deal directly with sellers. The Daytona Beach Street Rods run it as a nonprofit with the Daytona Beach Racing District, and all proceeds go to charity. On site The show field runs from 1920s cars to modern muscle and exotics, with no classes or awards. The Swap Meet fills thousands of vendor spaces with parts and memorabilia, the Car Corral puts more than a thousand cars up for sale, and Artisan Alley sells crafts. Turkey Run Nites runs a free show after dark, and spring adds the Hops & Hoods beer festival. Sponsors get display space at each show, product distribution, banners, program ads, e-blasts to the Turkey Run list and single-day passes, and the presenting partner also gets a VIP pavilion tent, infield parking and a place in the show's paid print, radio and TV campaign. Audience The Thanksgiving show averages more than 177,000 attendees across its run, and the spring show draws more than 65,000. The crowd is car owners, restorers, collectors and hot rodders who plan their year around it, plus families, since kids 11 and under get in free. Show car owners and vendors come from across the country, and the Car Corral pulls buyers from around the world. Talent and Influencers The cars and their builders are the draw. The Daytona Beach Street Rods raffle a restored classic each year, Turkey Run Nites features the cars of the Pro-Street Brotherhood, and race cars and pro-street builds share the infield with family restorations. The show's Facebook page and e-blast list keep that community talking between shows. Track record The Thanksgiving Turkey Run has been held every year for more than half a century, and the spring edition has run for more than three decades. The event has donated more than $20 million to charities, and the Daytona Beach Street Rods' raffle cars alone have raised more than $1.3 million. Presenting partner benefits extend to Turkey Run displays at Daytona International Speedway's biggest race weekends, including the Daytona 500. Brand presence O'Reilly Auto Parts, Gary Yeomans Ford and Daytona Trophy are on the event's sponsor wall, Jon Hall Chevrolet and United Rentals back Turkey Run Nites, and Daytona RV Park is an event sponsor. Levels run from VIP Partner up to a single Presenting Partner, with Official, Supporting and VIP partners each getting display space and product distribution at every show, and custom packages are available.
