Overview Experts Only Festival is John Summit's own two-day dance music festival on Randall's Island in New York, with Summit headlining both nights on a bill he curates himself, and its 2025 debut sold out. Medium Rare and Relentless Beats produce it with him, and it takes its name from his record label. It returned in 2026 on three stages. Randall's Island Park sits in the East River a short walk from Manhattan, on the ground that was previously home to Electric Zoo and Governors Ball. On site In 2026 gates ran from 3 p.m. to 10 p.m. both days, with no re-entry. Tickets stepped up from GA to GA+ with an express lane, VIP with its own main-stage viewing area and bar, and Platinum, which puts guests in an on-stage viewing area with an open bar. VIP tables came with bottle service and a server. The 2025 plan brought in LIV, the Miami and Las Vegas nightclub, to host a VIP skybox platform with 30-plus tables as its first New York pop-up. A food village of New York vendors faces the skyline, and in 2026 a Manhattan ferry ran to the island from 2:30 p.m., about 25 minutes each way. Audience The festival is 18 and over, and VIP tickets and tables are 21 and over. Most of the crowd comes from New York, New Jersey and Connecticut, and the promoters' deck says the Experts Only audience is stronger in New York than Summit's own. Ravewear has its own stop on site: EyeCandy sells eyewear, accessories and gear all weekend. Talent and Influencers Summit is a Chicago-born former accountant who closed the Sahara stage at Coachella in 2024, released his debut album Comfort in Chaos that July and has sold out Madison Square Garden and three nights at the Kia Forum. In 2025 the bill also carried Kaskade, Green Velvet, Pete Tong, LP Giobbi, Layton Giordani, DJ Seinfeld and TEED. In 2026 GRiZ and Subtronics joined, and Subtronics and Summit were billed back to back as SUBJOHNICS, with Adam Ten, Levity, Korolova, Will Clarke and Partiboi69 across the weekend. Brand presence Partners built into the 2026 grounds rather than around them. Cash App cardholders got their own entry lane and 25% off food, drink and merch. Tequila Don Julio poured signature cocktails in both VIP and GA, including a Headliner Margarita and an Afterhours Espresso Martini; NUTRL ran its own bars; White Claw came back for a second year with a bigger footprint; Grüns ran a sampling station. The festival also sells naming rights to the main stage, the VIP area and the livestream, and partners can make content with Summit on site.
