The Flagstaff Marathon, dubbed the "Coolest Marathon in Arizona," runs on a fully off-road course through the Coconino National Forest at elevations reaching 8,650 feet, hosted at the Arizona Nordic Village. Now in its 19th year, it offers a marathon, half marathon, 10K and kids' kilo, drawing an estimated 3,200 participants.
