About this listing
Overview The Fort Worth Stock Show and Rodeo is a 23-day livestock show, rodeo and western fair in Fort Worth, and in 2025 its Junior Sale of Champions set a record at more than $10 million, with the grand champion steer alone bringing $375,000. The rodeo runs as the FWSSR PRORODEO Tournament in Dickies Arena, alongside specialty performances: the Best of the West Ranch Rodeo, the Best of Mexico Celebracion, the Cowboys of Color Rodeo and Bulls' Night Out. Around it the Will Rogers Memorial Center grounds carry livestock and horse shows, a carnival midway, concerts, shopping and exhibits. The show dates to 1896, and the Will Rogers Memorial Center counts about 2.4 million visitors a year across roughly 2,270 use days. On site The Corkyard is a 40-by-80-foot food and wine venue built on the Simmons Bank Plaza at Dickies Arena for the run of the show, with a view of downtown and live music Tuesday through Saturday. The Amon G. Carter Jr. Exhibits Hall holds a trade show of more than 200 vendors around a central bar. In the Tower Promenade a milking parlor runs live demonstrations daily, 184 over the 23 days, averaging about 150 people each. Music Under the Tower sets up a tent in the Tower Drive lot, the Auditorium series ran seven nights of concerts in 2025, and mariachi, escaramuza and charro competitions fill the Will Rogers Coliseum. Audience Much of the crowd comes to compete. The 2025 show drew 33,458 entries, 12,639 of them from junior exhibitors in 239 of Texas's 254 counties, with open-show exhibitors from 36 states. Behind them come 4-H and FFA families, dairy judging teams, school art classes and teenage fiddlers competing for scholarships. The show's web traffic comes mostly from Dallas, then Fort Worth. Talent and Influencers In 2025 Shad Mayfield tied the arena record in tie-down roping at 7.2 seconds, and team ropers Dustin Egusquiza and Levi Lord tied it at 3.6. The show partnered with Professional Bull Riders for two nights of Last Cowboy Standing and a Kid Rock's Rock N Rodeo qualifier. Cowboys of Color, held on Martin Luther King Jr. Day, was billed for 2026 with the Circle L5 Riding Club, the La Guadalupana sidesaddle team and the charro Jerry Diaz. Track record Attendance: 1,267,500 in 2020, 1,202,200 in 2022, 1,271,250 in 2023, 1,144,305 in 2024 and 1,263,920 in 2025; the 2021 show was canceled for the pandemic. In 2025 thirteen auction sales raised more than $15.8 million, the reserve grand champion steer set a record at $300,000, and the PRORODEO purse rose to $1.5 million. Telemundo 39 carried 16 of the 18 tournament performances in Spanish, and The Cowboy Channel livestreamed 20 events. Brand presence Partnerships are sold by place and by moment, most on three-year terms: presenting the carnival midway with signage at the north gate, naming the Corkyard or the milking parlor, the exhibits hall bar, the Music Under the Tower tent, the Timed Event Challenge in the Justin Arena, the Rookie Night qualifier added in 2026, and specialty days for Careity, Stock Show Goes Pink, the military and Cook Children's neonatal unit. Cowboys of Color is co-titled with Telemundo 39. Youth programs pass 100% of contributions to scholarships and awards, with no administrative fee kept.
