About this listing
Overview Hogs for the Cause is a New Orleans charity barbecue festival that raises money for outreach services to families of children with brain cancer. Forbes has called it "the world's most delicious fundraiser." The festival runs two days each year, with 90-plus competitive BBQ teams and 20-plus performers across two stages, and has grown into the organization's flagship annual event over the past decade, regularly selling out. On site The Main Stage hosts the festival's biggest acts and its award show; the Second Stage runs music all day next to the highest-volume bar. Competing teams face off in front of certified judges in the Judges Tent, and the Boss Hog VIP tent gives premium guests a shaded, elevated hospitality experience. Ahead of the festival, the Plot Draft draws hundreds of fans and every competing team. Audience Hogs draws two distinct crowds: 30,000-plus general attendees and 3,500-plus competition-team participants. General attendees are college-educated, above-average earners who come mostly from the Southeast. More than half report household income above $100,000, three-quarters are between 21 and 54, and 98% say they'll come back. Track record The festival generates more than $21 million a year in earned and paid media. To date the organization has given out more than $14 million in grants and hospital gifts, including a "Hogs House" at Children's Hospital New Orleans. Miller High Life's "Pony Challenge" activation made New Orleans its #1 market nationally for the product. Brand presence Sponsorship runs from Title/Presenting rights down through the Main Stage, Second Stage, the Food Competition category, the Boss Hog VIP tent, the Judges Tent and the Plot Draft, each sold as its own naming opportunity. Additional bespoke packages are available on request.
