Overview The Irving Frost Marathon is a Boston-qualifying December marathon in Las Colinas, run with a half, a 10K and a 5K on the same Saturday morning along the Campion Trail and around Lake Carolyn, from The Plaza at Toyota Music Factory. It is the December stop of the Irving Marathon Running Series, and the 2026 edition is the eighth. Proceeds go to the Irving Schools Foundation for scholarships to Irving ISD students who volunteer on the course. On site The marathon and half go at 7:30, the 10K at 7:45 and the 5K at 8. The routes run flat through the Las Colinas Urban Center, out along the Campion Trail and past the water features on Lake Carolyn. More than 60 off-duty police officers close the streets, and runners are tracked live on the RaceJoy app. The finish has a PR bell. Afterward the festival at the Toyota Music Factory runs live music and hands out food and drink coupons, with beer for runners 21 and over. A VIP package adds brunch and private seating. Packet pickup is indoors the day before. Audience The top three overall in the marathon and half win cash, age-group medals run in 16 divisions, and teams compete for the fastest, the biggest turnout and the best-dressed squad. The marathon course stays open for six and a half hours, and walkers and runners with dogs start in the last wave. Track record The series behind the Frost grew out of the Irving Marathon, which Lazaro Alvarez and Ronnie Chesko founded in 2012, and went year-round in 2019. Every race in the series funds a $1,000 scholarship for an Irving ISD student volunteer. Brand presence Sponsors buy into one race or across the series' six-race calendar. The top levels carry race entries, a logo on runner and volunteer shirts and race bags, an expo booth at packet pickup, a named water station, medal ribbon recognition, packet inserts, PA announcements and an entry discount for employees. On race day the bib, the course signs, the PR bell, the results and the post-race beer each carry a sponsor position.
