About this listing
Overview Jacob Tofts is a British racing driver in the Porsche Carwow Carrera Cup GB, the one-make series for the Porsche 911 GT3 Cup that races on the support bill of the British Touring Car Championship. He drives car #27 for Duckhams Yuasa Racing, run by Graves Motorsport, in the Pro-Am class. The season runs from spring to autumn at circuits across England, with two races each weekend shown live on ITV. He is a member of the Porsche Talent Pool, and his stated target is the Porsche Supercup. On site Race weekends run over two days in the BTCC paddock, and paddock access is open to fans, so the car is on view between sessions as well as on track. The team hosts partner guests in the championship's hospitality suite, the Porsche Clubhaus, with breakfast on arrival and lunch, then takes them through the garage with Jacob to see the car and hear how the weekend is going. At several rounds the team runs a trackside barbershop for The Race to Save Lives, where barbers trained in men's mental health give free haircuts. Away from the circuits, Jacob and the car go to trade shows and company events, and the team runs hot laps in the race car as well as simulator and karting days. Audience BTCC crowds are motorsport regulars who travel to several rounds a season and walk the paddock among the cars and teams. Guests in the team's hospitality are mostly partners' clients and staff, and the lead partner's guests come largely from the taxi and private hire trade. Talent and Influencers Jacob started in sim racing, where he won the Porsche Club GB sim title twice, then finished second in the United Formula Ford Championship in his first season of car racing. He moved to GT4 in Porsche Sprint Challenge GB and won the Am class with 7 wins, 14 podiums and 8 poles, then finished third in the Pro class the following season. In his first Carrera Cup GB season he won in the Pro-Am class at Brands Hatch. He has an Automotive Engineering degree from Loughborough University and has worked as a simulator and development driver for Andretti's Formula E team. Track record The Duckhams Yuasa Racing programme produced Carrera Cup GB champions Dan Cammish and Adam Smalley. EDGE, a taxi accident management firm, renewed as primary partner after its first season and hosts clients at race weekends. EDGE on those days: "These experiences have been invaluable in building genuine relationships with both existing and potential clients." Verve Display has backed Jacob since his first Formula Ford season. Brand presence Partner logos sit on the car, with the largest positions on the front and sides, and on the overalls, helmet, team awning, posters and driver cards. Duckhams and GS Yuasa head the livery as the programme's lead partners. The team produces the content itself: race-weekend social posts and high-resolution images, press releases before and after each weekend posted on the Duckhams Yuasa Racing and TeamTofty sites, and a newsletter sent only to the partner group before and after each round.
