About this listing
Overview The Jalen Brunson Charity Golf Classic is a private golf day and dinner reception at Westchester Country Club in Rye, New York, hosted by the Knicks guard for his Second Round Foundation. Guests play the afternoon and stay at the club for a cocktail social and dinner, and only registered guests are allowed on the grounds. The foundation takes its idea from Brunson's own start, as the 33rd pick in the second round of the 2018 draft, and funds education, youth sport and community programs as a New Jersey 501(c)(3). Westchester Country Club was founded in 1922 by the hotelier John McEntee Bowman, has two championship courses by Walter Travis, and hosted the PGA Tour's Westchester Classic from 1967 to 2007. On site Players gather on the practice green in front of the clubhouse, where the carts are lined up, and foundation banners stand out on the grass. Foursomes play with lunch, drinks and a swag bag, and each group has its photo taken for a keepsake. Off the course, guests walk the brick paths under the clubhouse awnings into the evening, and the day closes at the awards dinner, where every foursome has a table. Audience The foundation describes the field as celebrity guests, NBA friends and New York's finest. Golfers and dinner guests register separately, so part of the room arrives for the evening only. Talent and Influencers Brunson plays his own tournament. He won NCAA titles at Villanova in 2016 and 2018, signed with the Knicks in 2022, was named the franchise's 36th captain in August 2024 and made the All-Star team in 2024, 2025 and 2026. In December 2025 he was NBA Cup MVP, when the Knicks won their first trophy since 1973. Track record The fourth edition, on August 10, 2026, sold out. Between 2022 and 2026 the foundation's grants went to partners including Covenant House, DREAM (formerly Harlem RBI), Team Jamaica Bickle, the TGR Foundation, Garden of Dreams and the Stevenson High School Foundation. It committed $300,000 to DREAM's Scratch Food Program and $300,000 to a wellness program at Stevenson, which reached more than 300 students and their families, and gave scholarships to 15 graduating seniors there over five years. Brand presence Apollo Jets presented the second edition in 2024, with its name on the screen above the dinner reception, and an Apollo Jets step-and-repeat has stood at the event for player photographs. HallPass Media worked the 2026 edition with the foundation as its event partner. On the course a partner takes a hole, the closest-to-the-pin contest or the players' lunch, with its sign on that tee and the right to hand out product; the top level adds three tee signs and a tee box of its own to build on.
