Overview The JM Eagle LA Championship presented by Plastpro is the LPGA Tour's Los Angeles stop, 72 holes of stroke play for a 144-player field, and during the third round in 2026 JM Eagle's chief executive, Walter Wang, raised the purse by $1 million live on Golf Channel, to $4.75 million. The tournament called it the largest purse on the tour that year outside the majors and the CME Group Tour Championship. It was played at Wilshire Country Club in Hancock Park in 2023 and 2024 and at El Caballero Country Club in Tarzana in 2025 and 2026 while Wilshire's course was restored. Wilshire opened in 1919 on a Norman Macbeth design, hosted the PGA Tour's Los Angeles Open in 1928, 1931, 1933 and 1944, and finished a Kyle Phillips restoration in 2025. On site The week starts with amateurs. Foursomes play with the pros in a Monday pro-am and a Wednesday pro-am, where each group plays nine holes with each of two LPGA players, and on Tuesday night a VIP party brings the pro-am guests and more than 120 tour players together over food and drink stations, a DJ and a player raffle. The 2026 program also carried a Women's Leadership Luncheon, presented by J.P. Morgan, with tour players on the panel. Saturday is Junior Golf Day: activations from SCGA Junior, First Tee, 61 Golf and the LA Rams, a course scavenger hunt, and a Junior Golf Show where LPGA players hit shots, take questions and sign for the kids. Golf Channel carries all four rounds. Audience The week is built to bring kids in. Kids 17 and under get in free all week, and the tournament says Junior Golf Day serves more than 1,000 local young people. More than 550 volunteers work the week. In 2025 people affected by the Eaton and Palisades fires were admitted free, and in 2026 an Honoring Heroes program gave first responders free admission and fan experiences. Talent and Influencers Hannah Green won three of the first four editions: in a playoff in 2023 and by three shots in 2024, both at Wilshire, and in 2026 at El Caballero, where she birdied 13 through 16 and beat Sei Young Kim and Jin Hee Im on the first playoff hole. Ingrid Lindblad won in 2025 at 21 under. In 2026 Lizette Salas, back from 18 months out injured, played what the tournament called her hometown event, and the field gave Los Angeles sportscaster Jim Hill a signed flag for 50 years covering the city. Track record Purse: $1.5 million before JM Eagle took the title, $3 million in 2023, $3.75 million from 2024, $4.75 million in 2026. The Wangs also covered players' hotel rooms and handed out gift cards, which the tournament credits with pushing 11 other sponsors to raise purses; after the 2026 increase the Chevron Championship, the Evian, the AIG Women's Open and the U.S. Women's Open raised theirs. In January 2025 JM Eagle gave $6.5 million to Los Angeles wildfire relief, $1.5 million of it to first responders. Brand presence JM Eagle holds the title and Plastpro presents. The rest of the week is sold around the golf: foursomes in both pro-ams, the VIP party's presenting spot, the top position at the Women's Leadership Luncheon, with three tables and logos on the leaderboards, the Junior Golf Show, co-presenting the volunteer program with a logo on every volunteer's kit, and a Junior Golf Day gift that pays for youth meals, hats and transport. At the 2025 VIP party Mercedes ran a Legendary Putt for a Legendary Ride contest and LA Golf Club ran closest to the pin.
