Overview The LA Today Event Series is the party calendar of LA Today, a Los Angeles events publication, and it tracks the city's own season: in March 2026 its third annual Oscars pre-party put a Getty Images red carpet outside Warwick on Sunset Boulevard. The rest of the year brings a Grammys-weekend VIP lounge, an LA Fashion Week showcase and summer pool parties. There is an Alice in White Wonderland night too. LA Today, founded by Mark Stampfly, publishes a hand-verified LA events calendar, city guides, a weekly newsletter and The LA Today Show. On site The 2026 Oscars pre-party, for the 98th Academy Awards, opened its red carpet at 6 p.m. and ran until 11. Inside were live performances, guest DJs, hors d'oeuvres and desserts, a Golden VIP Lounge and a gold gifting suite. The rooms change. The Godfrey Hotel Hollywood has hosted Fashion Week and the Wonderland party, The Mondrian a Grammys weekend lounge and Grandmaster Recorders an earlier Oscars night, while GoldenHour at Level 8 downtown took a summer pool kickoff and a Hollywood Dive pool party ran in West Hollywood. Audience LA Today sorts its guest lists into celebrities, cast and crew, influencers, TV talent, socialites and working professionals from finance, tech, law and healthcare. For the Oscars party it aimed at nominees and winners, showrunners, producers and network executives. Getty shot the carpet. Talent and Influencers Mark Wahlberg poured shots of his own tequila at the Hollywood Dive party. Other guests on the series' carpets include Max Ehrich, Christine Obanor, Luciana Fuster, American Idol's David Hernandez, the comedian Giovanny Castillo and the creator Louie Castro. Brand presence The title partner's name goes into the event name. Every partner level gets its logo on signage, invitations and the photo backdrop, a thank-you from the stage and a VIP table sized to the level, plus a quote in the post-event press release and coverage in LA Today's own editorial. Casa Del Sol tequila took the full version at an Oscars pre-party: the step and repeat, a tasting station, two signature cocktails on the menu, a 360 video booth and an influencer VIP table.
