About this listing
Overview The Lane County Fair is five July days of carnival rides, livestock barns and main-stage concerts in Eugene, and by the fair's own count it is the largest single gathering in Lane County each year and one of the three largest county fairs in Oregon. It runs on the Lane Events Center grounds on West 13th Avenue, and a 12-person staff works on it year-round. A concert ticket gets its holder into the fair as well. On site Gates open at 11 in the morning and the grounds stay open until 11 at night, with an earlier close on the Sunday. The main stage sits by the Food Court, and beside it the Community Stage gives the afternoons to local dance, martial arts, gymnastics and music groups. Lane County 4-H and FFA members show small animals, poultry, sheep, goats, swine and cattle in the Expo Halls, and an open-class horse show runs alongside. The carnival sells one-day unlimited ride bracelets. In 2026 the Challenge of Champions Bull Riding Tour brought PBR and NFR qualifiers into the arena on the Wednesday night, with arena-side floor seats and bleachers. Audience Fairgoers come in groups and come back. In the fair's 2023 survey, 59 percent of parties had three or more people, and the average fairgoer visited on two or more days. Each day is built around someone local: children who bring a dressed-up fruit or vegetable get in free on Grange Day, and on the Sunday admission is free until 3 for anyone carrying three non-perishable items for Food for Lane County. Talent and Influencers The main stage mixes country, classic rock and pop. Kansas, Gary Allan and Martina McBride played in 2016; Trace Adkins, Melissa Etheridge and Night Ranger in 2018; Martina McBride came back in 2019 on a week with Little River Band and Lifehouse; T.I. and KC and the Sunshine Band played in 2022. Ned LeDoux played in 2026, sold as a bundle with the bull riding. Track record The Lane County Agricultural Society held its first exhibition on October 9, 1858, and the first official Lane County Fair ran for three days from September 25, 1884. The fair says its attendance averaged about 115,000 across the five years before 2024. The fair's media partners include KEZI, KVAL, KMTR and KLSR on local TV, plus a spread of Eugene radio stations. Brand presence The fair names its sponsor levels after its rides, from Balloons up through Rock Star, Scrambler, Cliff Hanger and Kamikaze to Giant Wheel. Along the way a sponsor picks up a stop on the fairgoers' scavenger hunt, a backlit sign, booth space, a logo on the tickets and in the fair's radio, TV and digital ads, then main-stage credit, and at the top the presenting credit. Single places can be sponsored too: the Information and Lost Kids Booth, the Community Stage, the Food Court, the Creative Exhibits Hall, the entry gate or a whole fair day. Thursday runs as Weyerhaeuser Family Day, and Ford Pro Commercial Vehicle Center presented the 2026 bull riding.
