Overview Lincoln Park Greek Fest is a three-day June festival of Greek food, music and folk dance on the grounds of St. George Greek Orthodox Church on Sheffield Avenue, the Lutheran church Greek immigrants bought and adapted for Orthodox worship in time for services in April 1923. The parish hosts it and Special Events Management, a Chicago street-festival producer, runs it. The festival bills itself as a weekend of filoxenia, Greek hospitality, and says that Greek or not, everyone is Hellenic for a day. On site It runs Friday evening from 5 to 11, Saturday from noon to 11 and Sunday from noon to 10. In 2026 Probable Cause and the pop and rock band 16 Candles played Friday, and the Ormi Orchestra played modern and traditional Greek music from 4 to 10 on Saturday and Sunday. Dance groups take the stage through the weekend: Whispers of the Mediterranean opens both days at noon, and in 2026 the Cretan Youth of Chicago and Perifania's adult and youth dance groups performed in the evenings. Greek food, drinks and merchandise sell around the church grounds, and a family area runs inflatables, games and crafts with local organizations. Vendor space filled up in 2026. Audience Dance troupes include Chicago community groups such as the Cretan Youth of Chicago, and Perifania brings both a youth and an adult group. St. George draws parishioners from across the Chicago area. The grounds sit a short walk from the Diversey Brown Line stop, with valet parking on Diversey, a Divvy station at Sheffield and Diversey and a ride-share pickup on Lincoln Avenue. Brand presence Special Events Management promotes the festival through social media, local and regional advertising and e-blasts to an opt-in list of more than 60,000. Sponsorship is sold at top, mid and entry levels.
