Overview New Year's Eve Chicago is Green Curtain Events' citywide lineup of ticketed countdown parties, all held on the same night at partner bars, clubs, restaurants and event spaces. Guests choose a party on BestNYEparties.com by neighborhood, price and style, anywhere from a laid-back neighborhood countdown to a VIP gala with a view of the fireworks. Green Curtain is a Chicago event company that has helped the city ring in the new year for more than 15 years. On site Each party follows the same format. Doors open around 9pm, and a general admission Celebration Package covers a drink package, champagne, passed appetizers or a buffet, party favors and the midnight countdown. Groups can add a table with bottles and a dedicated server, from a high-top for four to a skybox for twenty. The flagship, New Year on the Pier, fills Bar Sol, a multi-floor lakefront venue on Navy Pier that looks straight out at the Navy Pier midnight fireworks. Recent lineups have spread across Gold Coast, Old Town, Lincoln Park, Wicker Park and River North, at venues such as Hopsmith, The Scout, Gold Coast Social, GALERIA, Happy Camper, Homeslice and LiqrBox. Audience Every guest is 21 or older, and most come as couples or groups of friends who dress up for the night and book a table together. The crowd is mostly young working professionals from the city and near suburbs, the same guests who fill Green Curtain's festivals the rest of the year. Talent and Influencers Entertainment is set venue by venue. At Bar Sol, live musicians trade sets with a DJ ensemble from Blue Moon Media Group. GALERIA books club DJs, and The Scout drops a ceiling of balloons at midnight. Earlier editions of New Year on the Pier put live bands on the main stage of the Aon Grand Ballroom under its domed ceiling. Track record Green Curtain has sold a multi-venue New Year's Eve lineup for years, and the Bar Sol party and Hopsmith sold every ticket and table at the most recent edition. The same team produces Tacos y Tamales, The Great American Lobster Fest, WingOut Chicago and citywide St. Patrick's Day and Halloween parties. Brand presence Partners are built into the party itself. At recent editions, White Claw hard seltzer and Freixenet prosecco came as part of the table packages at several venues. Green Curtain's sponsor menu adds entrance signage, sampling space inside partner venues, featured drinks on the drink package, branded party favors, VIP tables, and features in its email list and social channels.
