About this listing
Overview NYC Holiday Cocktail Fest is a December cocktail tasting at Chelsea Industrial on West 28th Street in Manhattan, where every guest gets a souvenir glass, samples any cocktail on the floor and votes for the brand whose drink they liked best. The festival advertises more than 100 cocktails built by mixologists from distilleries, speakeasies and bars, poured in two sessions of three and a half hours, one in the afternoon and one in the evening. Evan Berman Productions, a New York, New Jersey and Florida food and drink event company that runs 25-plus festivals a year, produces it under its Cocktail Fest USA banner alongside Jersey City and Brooklyn editions. On site One admission covers every cocktail on offer. The festival bills the day as a cocktail tour led by master distillers, industry experts and local bartenders, and guests talk to the distillers at the bars while live music plays through each session. Food is sold on site. It is 21 and over with photo ID, and there is no re-entry once a guest leaves. Designated drivers buy a separate ticket, wear a different wristband and get no glass. The 1 train stops at 28th Street, and the C and E at 23rd. Audience Guests spend a full session walking bar to bar with a glass in hand, talking to the people who make the spirits, and casting a vote at the end. Evan Berman Productions says its festivals draw many repeat guests who follow its calendar from event to event, and it keeps an email list of about 50,000. Brand presence Beyond the bars themselves, Evan Berman Productions sells the pieces every guest touches: a logo on the souvenir tasting glass (printed with four weeks' lead time), a logo on the entry wristband, and a logo on every photo booth picture that goes out to guests by email. A brand can also take a 10-by-15 seminar space with a microphone for up to two talks a session, a premium floor spot, a dedicated email blast or boosted social posts. Past partners across its festivals include Jefferson's bourbon, Suntory, Caymus Vineyards, Wolffer Estate and Tomintoul, and Old Parr branded the photo booth frames at one of its whiskey festivals.
