Overview The Orange Blossom Revue is a two-day American roots music festival under the live oaks and cabbage palms on the shore of Lake Wailes, in a Central Florida town of about 15,000, and its main stage has carried Drive-By Truckers, The Revivalists and JJ Grey and Mofro. It runs the first weekend of December in Lake Wailes Park, with a second stage for Central Florida bands, on-site camping and a VIP area in the shade of the oaks. Lake Wales natives Rusty Ingley and Reid Hardman started it in 2014 out of a Rotary Club barbecue fundraiser, and it is named for the region's citrus heritage. Proceeds go to the Blossom Charitable Foundation, which the founders set up in 2021 to pay for tutoring, arts education scholarships and recreation scholarships for Lake Wales children. On site The box office opens at 11, gates at noon and the music at 1:15 on both days. The main stage has an accessible viewing area in front of it, and a second stage carries Central Florida bands. VIP sits under the mossy oaks; Platinum VIP adds main-stage viewing and its own lounge and bar. The site is cashless, with RFID wristbands paying for drinks and merchandise, and the festival and artist merch booth sits near the main entrance. The campground is inside the park: tent sites, RV sites graded by power and shade, lakeside spots at Oak Hollow, and full RV rentals delivered and leveled a short walk from the main stage. In 2025 a free Thursday kickoff concert ran in Oakley Park downtown. Audience The Revue is set up for a weekend stay. Campers check in from Thursday afternoon, bring coolers to their sites and stay until noon Sunday, and the festival points everyone else to hotels in Lake Wales and Winter Haven. The town is small enough that the Revue tells guests to drive or carpool rather than count on rideshare. It is a family event: strollers and folding chairs come through the gate, children 12 and under come in on kids' tickets with a parent, and they are allowed in VIP. Locals got discounted passes through the Lake Wales Arts Council in 2024. Talent and Influencers JJ Grey and Mofro, The War and Treaty and Robert Earl Keen headlined the tenth edition in 2024, on a bill with Steep Canyon Rangers, the Sam Grisman Project and 14-year-old mandolin player Wyatt Ellis. Brent Cobb played in 2023. Drive-By Truckers and The SteelDrivers took the Friday of 2025 and The Revivalists, Grace Bowers and The Hodge Podge and Eddie 9V the Saturday. The full 2026 lineup poster carried St. Paul and The Broken Bones, JJ Grey and Mofro, Hiss Golden Messenger, Trousdale, The Travelin' McCourys, The Heavy Heavy and The 502s. Track record The Revue marked its tenth anniversary in 2024 and its 11th edition in 2025, the year it added a full second stage of Central Florida bands and the Thursday kickoff downtown. Ticket sales have funded the Lake Wales Arts Council and Lake Wales Charter Schools through the foundation.
