About this listing
Overview Orange Bowl Family Fall Fest is a free Thanksgiving-season morning in Homestead built around a turkey giveaway, and at the first one, in 2023, the Orange Bowl and Farm Share handed out more than 500 turkeys and other Thanksgiving food. It is held at Harris Field Park, home to one of the Orange Bowl's legacy park fields. The Orange Bowl Committee is a nonprofit created in 1935 to bring visitors to South Florida through its bowl game. Its 410-plus volunteer members and staff of 30 put on more than 50 events a year. On site The turkey distribution anchors the morning. Around it the committee sets up a kids' fun zone with inflatables and games, a stage with music and live entertainment, local vendors, and giveaways and prizes. It is a morning event, over by midday. Audience The committee aims the day at Homestead and the surrounding communities, and at families who need help putting a holiday meal on the table. It is free and open to the public, and the program is built for families with children. Track record The first Fall Fest, in 2023, drew more than 1,000 people. Harris Field Park is one of the legacy park projects the Orange Bowl has funded since 2009; the committee and its partners had committed more than $25 million to South Florida park renovations by 2025, with nine projects completed. Brand presence Amerant was named presenting sponsor for 2026, and the event page also carries media sponsors. Associate partners get exhibit space at the park, a speaking slot on stage, PA mentions, signage, recognition in event marketing and a spot on the event's own web page.
