Overview OS NYC is a video game bar and event venue at 50 Bowery in Chinatown whose weekly brackets run under their own names: The Bowsery for Smash Bros Ultimate on Tuesdays, and NYCMelee's Stock Exchange for Melee on Wednesdays. The floor holds high-end gaming PCs alongside PlayStation 5 and Nintendo Switch setups, with a full-service bar pouring video-game-inspired cocktails. People come in on a day pass or a membership, community groups run their own nights in the room, and the venue books private and brand events through its own team. On site Day-pass hours run 3 p.m. to midnight on weekdays and noon to midnight on weekends, and OS PLUS members get in from 9 a.m. on weekdays to use the PCs and high-speed internet as a workspace. On bracket nights half the PCs go to the tournament: check-in opens at 5, play starts at 7, and players bring their own controllers. The rest of the week carries Magic: The Gathering on Mondays, Pokemon events, fighting-game tournaments, anime watch parties in front of the big screen and esports watch parties. Food comes from partner restaurants TADA and Norimen, ordered by QR code and picked up at the front desk to eat at the stations. Alcohol is served from 3 p.m. on weekdays and noon on weekends. Audience The regulars are the city's competitive players and fan clubs: Smash and Melee brackets, Magic and Pokemon players, fighting-game players and anime groups such as Anime Social Nexus. Spectators pay the same venue fee as competitors on tournament nights, with re-entry through the evening and friendlies between sets. The venue sits near the Grand Street, Canal Street, East Broadway and Fulton Center subway stops and pitches itself to players coming in from the outer boroughs and the Tri-State area. Brand presence The venue describes itself as a third space where gaming, tech and music meet. The venue books hosted events through its own team, and its partnerships are sold at presenting and category level alongside one-off marketing campaigns.
