Overview Paso Wine Fest is the Paso Robles wine region's May weekend, and its Saturday Grand Tasting puts more than 120 Paso Robles wineries side by side at the Paso Robles Event Center, pouring beside the area's craft distillers. The weekend around it runs from a Friday-night Paired Paso tasting to a Sunday-morning Sparkling Paso at a winery, and in 2025 the region's wineries ran more than 150 events of their own across the festival. The Paso Robles Wine Country Alliance puts it on: a 501(c)(6) cooperative marketing group of the region's wineries, vineyards and related businesses, run by a nine-member board. Its partner deck calls the festival an annual event of more than 40 years. On site The Grand Tasting runs from noon to 4:30, with VIP ticket holders let in an hour before general admission, and in 2025 a VIP wine reception opened the day at 11:30. Chefs hand out complimentary bites and there is more food to buy, with live entertainment, a roaming photo booth and local artisan vendors. Each guest gets a commemorative glass. People bring their own picnics, blankets and low-back chairs and set up under the shade. In 2026 Sparkling Paso took place at Paris Valley Road Estate Winery. Audience The festival draws new faces: in the Alliance's 2024 survey, 64.7% of ticket holders were at their first Paso Wine Fest. Among Californians, 36% came from Southern California and 35% from San Luis Obispo County, with Northern California at 21%. Paso Robles sits on the Central Coast about halfway between Los Angeles and San Francisco, and the Alliance advertises in San Jose, Santa Barbara and Bakersfield as well as locally. Brand presence A partner can take a single piece of the day, such as the branded reusable water bottles handed to guests, the VIP lounge, the demonstration kitchen or the bandstand, or take the whole event as exclusive title sponsor with its own built activation. Promotion runs through the Alliance's newsletter to 48,000 subscribers, billboards in wine country, and media partners including KSBY, Edible SLO and the Paso Robles Press.
