About this listing
Overview The PHS Philadelphia Flower Show is a 10-day indoor garden show that builds about 10 acres of judged landscape gardens and floral installations inside the Pennsylvania Convention Center in late February or March, a show the Pennsylvania Horticultural Society has staged since 1829. Every edition takes a theme; in 2026 it was Rooted: Origins of American Gardening. A Members' Preview Day opens each show before the public days. The show is PHS's major fundraiser. PHS was founded in 1827 and counts more than 300,000 supporters, volunteers and gardeners across Greater Philadelphia, and it puts its work toward healthier neighborhoods, fresh food access, economic opportunity and social connection. On site PHS lays the show out as five experiences: See, Make, Learn, Shop and Play. The big landscape and floral installations come from designers from around the world, and judges review every one. The Hamilton Horticourt holds hundreds of individually grown plants competing for blue ribbons. The Know to Grow speaker series and early-morning tours are free with admission, hands-on craft activities run through the day, and shoppers move between the Marketplace of vendors, the PHS Shop and a Makers Market of local artisans. Public hours run to 8 p.m. most days. Audience PHS pitches the show to amateurs and experts alike. Growers enter their own plants for judging in the Horticourt, home gardeners come for the free talks, and PHS members get the preview day plus a members-only hour every morning before the public comes in. Track record The International Festivals and Events Association named the show the Best Event in the World in 2014 and 2017. During the pandemic it moved outdoors to FDR Park for 2021 and 2022, and it returned to the Convention Center in 2023. PHS puts its economic impact on Philadelphia at more than $64 million a year. At the 2026 show, Arrange, LLC won Best in Show for floral design, Mark Cook Landscape and Contracting won Best in Show for landscape, and Kelly D. Norris won the Philadelphia Trophy. Brand presence Sponsor footprints run from a 10-by-10-foot branded display up to a 50-by-60-foot branded garden, and PHS staff can design, source, install and maintain the plants and flowers. Sponsors can sell and sign up customers on site, use the show's conference rooms for staff meetings or client hospitality, put product in influencer and media gift bags and advertise in PHS's Grow digital magazine. Independence Blue Cross, Hendrick's Gin and Bank of America headlined the 2026 sponsor page.
