About this listing
Overview The Phoenix Marathon is the city's own December marathon, half marathon and 10K, run entirely inside Phoenix city limits, and its first edition in 2025 sold out with more than 7,200 runners from all 50 states and more than 12 countries. Brooksee, which also produces the Las Vegas, Portland and Mesa marathons and the REVEL series, launched it in 2025 with Visit Phoenix and the City of Phoenix, calling Phoenix the largest U.S. city without a signature marathon. The 2025 field was the biggest first-year race in Brooksee's history. Brooksee was founded in 2012. On site The 2025 course was flat and built for fast times. The half and full ran down Camelback Road and through the Biltmore neighborhood, a few blocks from the Arizona Biltmore, with Camelback Mountain in view, and all three distances finished just outside Phoenix Municipal Stadium by Papago Park. Race weekend includes an expo, pace groups and an elite field, and finishers get a medal, a shirt and professional race photos. For 2026 Brooksee paired the race with the 2027 Mesa Marathon, awarding a Desert Double medal to anyone who finishes a distance at both. Audience Brooksee pitches the flat course to runners chasing a Boston qualifying time, and four of its races placed in FindMyMarathon's 2025 top 10 Boston-qualifying marathons. Track record Results from the first race, December 13, 2025: Jake Heslington won the marathon in 2:19:29 and Tiaree Towler the women's race in 2:45:23; Jackson Siddall (1:03:15) and Caroline Garrett (1:17:13) won the half; Milo Greder (29:12) and Sammy McClintock (33:25) won the 10K.
