Overview PickleBowl: Heisman Edition is an afternoon of celebrity pickleball in New York City a few hours before the Heisman Trophy ceremony. CityPickle and the Wuerffel Foundation bring past Heisman winners, pro athletes and pickleball pros together at CityPickle Times Square for exhibition matches and a pro-am, with players and fans on court together. Proceeds support the nonprofit Wuerffel Foundation. On site The event runs across CityPickle's seven indoor courts in the Paramount Building on Broadway, with a championship court, pro exhibition matches and court sessions where guests play alongside Heisman winners. The club's bar and restaurant handles food and drink, run by a culinary team led by a former Tao Group F&B chief. The presenting partner gets naming rights, category exclusivity, the championship court and a pro-am in its name, plus LED screen, net hangs, signage, a room takeover and an activation space. Gold and Bronze partners each get a branded court and programming session. Audience Around two hundred players and fans: New York pickleball players, college football fans in town for Heisman weekend, alumni of the winners' schools, and CityPickle members and corporate guests. CityPickle's booking app, newsletter and Instagram carry the promotion to a large New York player base. Talent and Influencers Past editions have brought Heisman Trophy winners Tim Tebow, Danny Wuerffel, Cam Newton, Doug Flutie, Eric Crouch, Johnny Rodgers, Charlie Ward and Billy Sims onto the court, alongside pickleball pros such as Riley Newman, Ryan Sherry, Kyle Yates, Ewa Radzikowska and Kate Fahey. Danny Wuerffel hosts, and the presenting partner is also promoted on his social channels. Track record The PickleBowl grew out of the Wuerffel Foundation's celebrity-and-pro pickleball events in Atlanta and became the Heisman Edition in New York, first with the Heisman Trophy Trust and Life Time. CityPickle, the first dedicated pickleball company in New York City, now hosts it at its Times Square flagship. CityPickle has run thousands of private events and brand activations. Brand presence Allstate, the Heisman Trophy Trust and Life Time have backed past editions, and JOOLA nets and paddles line the courts.
