Overview PULSE is a free Saturday-morning fitness and wellness festival on the Summerfest grounds at Henry Maier Festival Park, and in 2026 it packed more than 50 workout classes into five hours on Milwaukee's lakefront, along with kayaking, paddleboarding, a sauna and cold plunge and yoga facing Lake Michigan. Milwaukee World Festival produces it, with Aurora Health Care powering the 2025 and 2026 editions, as a way to give the city free access to fitness, recreation and health resources. Milwaukee World Festival is the nonprofit that runs Summerfest, which drew more than 602,000 people over nine days in 2025, and it planned more than 60 events in the park for 2025. On site In 2025 the grounds were split into stations. The Aurora Pavilion ran group workouts led by well-known instructors. The Yoga Stage took a grassy footprint of about 45 by 100 feet, visible from the entry gate, with a different boutique studio leading each session. The Cooking Stage ran chef demos with food sampling, and the Dance Stage, in 2026, ran Latin dance, ballet, line dancing and capoeira. Around them sat pickleball courts with instruction, pop-up workout zones run by gyms such as Orangetheory Fitness, the YMCA, Milwaukee Rec, Power Cycle and solidcore, e-bike demos and a Ninja Warrior course. The 2026 edition added a Zen Den for meditation, sound baths and stretching, and a one-mile run and walk through Lake Shore State Park. Audience Nearly everything on the grounds is done rather than watched: the day is built from classes, courts, a kayak launch and a run, and the festival asks people to register in advance. In 2026 participants got a commemorative T-shirt and, while they lasted, Summerfest 2027 tickets. Talent and Influencers The 2026 lineup included NinjaYari, a five-time American Ninja Warrior competitor, Paralympic silver medalist Emily Oberst of wheelchair basketball, Milwaukee fitness entrepreneur Laura Novotny, and Dominique Johnson, then Milwaukee's First Lady, leading Zumba. The cooking demos that year came from Mark Hagen and Sarah Farmer of Taste of Home, Harbor House executive chef Michael Genre, Britta Kramer and Amberlea Childs of Plant Joy. Track record PULSE started in 2024. Its 2025 edition carried more than 60 event partners from fitness centers, recreation programs, food brands, restaurants and nonprofits, and the 2026 edition more than 75 participating health, wellness and fitness organizations. Brand presence Every partner gets an activation space of at least 10 by 10 feet, flexible up to 10 by 30, with the right to sample product in portions of 2 ounces or less and a listing on the PULSE website. Named positions sit on top: a presenting partner for the Yoga Stage, whose logo goes on the stage sign, the class schedule, directional signs and the event map, with its own space beside the yoga lawn, and an official protein bar with the status carried in the press release and on the homepage.
