About this listing
Overview Racing Louisville FC is the National Women's Soccer League club named for the city's thoroughbred racing, and this placement is the panel below the number on the back of its gameday kit, worn in every home and away match. The crest is a violet fleur-de-lis on lavender. Louisville was named an NWSL expansion city in October 2019, and the club played its first season in 2021. Soccer Holdings owns it together with Louisville City FC of the USL Championship, and the two clubs share Lynn Family Stadium and the Louisville Champions Park training ground. GE Appliances took the front of the shirt in December 2020, and Nike makes the kit. Matchday Lynn Family Stadium opened in July 2020 on a former industrial site in Butchertown, east of downtown, and holds 15,304 with its safe-standing section. The roof's outer facade is shaped like a bourbon barrel, the floodlight masts were built to look like eyelashes and run color shows after a goal, and the west end stays open to the downtown skyline and the Ohio River bridges. The closed side is the Estopinal End, safe standing, named for Louisville City's late founder Wayne Estopinal. The grass pitch is heated from below. In 2026 league matches aired nationally on ESPN, Prime Video, CBS and ION. Audience The supporter end is organized. In January 2026 the two clubs launched the 502 Crew, a free program that sells $5.02 tickets in the Estopinal End to students, young professionals and lower-income fans, with members leading the chants from the section. Talent and Influencers Bev Yanez took over as head coach in November 2023 and was named NWSL Coach of the Year for 2025. That season Taylor Flint and Emma Sears made the league's Best XI Second Team, and Sears led the club with 10 goals. Track record Racing finished ninth in each of its first four seasons, 2021 to 2024. In 2025 it finished seventh, reached the playoffs for the first time and lost its quarterfinal to the Washington Spirit on penalties, and it set club records for points, goals and total home attendance. Brand presence The bottom-back panel sits under the player's number and runs for the season on both the home and away gameday shirts, which the club also sells in its own team stores.
