About this listing
Overview Musicians on Musicians pairs one of today's most exciting stars with an iconic artist they admire, curating 6-8 conversations each October that span genres and generations. Two of the pairings close out a single live event, each closing a moderator-led conversation with a duet blending the pair's biggest hits with reimagined versions of each other's songs. Now in its eighth year, the franchise runs across print, digital cover stories, video, social and podcast distribution, with region-specific international editions launching in 2026. On site Two artist pairings sit for live conversations with a Rolling Stone-selected moderator who connects the artists with the crowd, then close with a one-of-a-kind duet performance. Comedian James Austin Johnson of SNL hosted the 2025 edition. Signage and logo placements run throughout the venue, alongside a pop-up brand activation for sponsors. Talent and Influencers The 2025 lineup paired Jack Antonoff and Hayley Williams, Gracie Abrams and Cyndi Lauper, Lucy Dacus and Janelle Monae, Tinashe and Amaarae, and Black Thought and Redman, with Antonoff, Williams, Role Model and Maria Zardoya of The Marias performing live at the 2025 event. Past pairings include Lana Del Rey and Elton John, Paul McCartney and Taylor Swift, Maluma and Madonna, RM and Pharrell, Latto and Snoop Dogg, Bruce Springsteen and Zach Bryan, and Olivia Rodrigo and Alanis Morissette. Featured artists frequently repost the conversations to their own millions of followers. The 2026 lineup is not yet announced. Track record The live event has sold out every year it has been held, and content across the franchise averages 5.2 million views per episode across all platforms. Past brand partners have expanded their involvement over time: Sonesta International Hotels grew its Musicians on Musicians event partnership from two cities in 2024 to a five-city tour in 2025. Brand presence Sponsor packages span media, the live event, and fully custom content or event partnerships. Event partners receive logo placement on the ticketing site and event signage, an on-site brand activation, and inclusion in Rolling Stone's pre- and post-event press and social coverage. Custom content packages pair a brand with two artists for a bespoke Musicians on Musicians conversation distributed across digital, social and print.
